Leeds United could only manage to pick up a 1-1 draw with Sunderland yesterday.
Thomas Christiansen has revealed that he watched Leeds United’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland on social media website Twitter.
Christiansen was let go by Leeds earlier this year, but he was keen to keep an eye on his former side’s progress today.
Christiansen surely would not have been too impressed by what he saw, as Leeds could only pick up a draw at home to lowly Sunderland.
And Whites fans have started to beg for the Danish boss to come back, as they feel things have got worse since his exit.
Heckingbottom has won just two matches since taking charge of Leeds, with calls for him to be sacked growing by the game.
Leeds were on the outskirts of the play offs when Heckingbottom took charge, but they have slipped all the way down to 13th place in the Championship table.
The Whites have little to play for other than pride now, but Heckingbottom needs his side to pick up form, with the pressure growing.
Leeds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Preston North End at Deepdale.
